The promise to share life and shape the future together, to support and love one another in all life situations, is the most valuable promise in the world.
I always imagined that after getting married you feel exctatic and different. I did think much of the proposal because it’s before you become husband and wife. Or at least a I thought so.
When my man got down on one knee at sunset and confessed his love to me in the most beautiful words, my world came to a standstill. I was overwhealmed by his proposal and was totally swept of my feet. Speechless and lovestruck I fell into his arms. I realized that this was the moment when he told me that he sees our future together forever. That he would like to share with me all his dreams and ambitions and that he would like to take on life together with me. A moment of immense gratitude, joy and the feeling of safety came over me. The safety of always having my man by my side and that no matter what, we will always have each other.
A proposal is not just a confession of love, but a promise to always walk together, side by side.
To illustrate the depth and meaning to me of this promise, I created an artwork with extra depth. I poured the resin into handcrafted basins. therefore, the entire work of art consists exclusively of 13 layers of resin mixed with handpicked pigments. It has a unique three dimensional depth and is absolutely unique.
